NEW ORLEANS – The Non-Flood Protection Asset Management Authority of the Orleans Levee District (The Authority) is seeking qualified firms to submit applications to be certified as Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) businesses. The Authority, over the next few years, will be engaged in Rehabilitation Projects at the New Orleans Lakefront Airport area and its Assets.

Through the Louisiana Unified Certification Program (LAUCP), Firms/businesses that are certified with the Authority are automatically certified and eligible to seek business opportunities with the following agencies as well:

Regional Transit Authority (RTA);
Louisiana State Department of Transportation & Development (DOTD);
Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport; and If you are already DBE certified with any of these agencies, you do not need to re-apply for certification in order to meet bidding requirements. To apply to the Authority for DBE certification, please contact Ms. Joan M. Coats, DBE Liaison Officer, at the numbers or email listed below.

In addition, through Reciprocity, businesses that are certified with the Authority can experience expedited certification with the City of New Orleans’ DBE Program.

Commissioner Eugene J. Green, Jr., recently appointed to the Authority’s Board of Directors by Congressman Cedric Richmond, is the new Chairman of the Authority’s Commercial Real Estate Committee. He encourages qualified businesses to be certified by either the Authority or one of the agencies listed above.
